Dog Walking in Droitwich: How Our Walks Work (and What to Ask Any Dog Walker)

If you live in Droitwich Spa and you’re looking for a dog walker, you’ve probably noticed there’s a lot of choice. Some walkers are brilliant, some less so, and it’s not always easy to tell the difference from a Facebook post. So here’s an honest look at how our dog walking in Droitwich works, and the questions we’d ask any dog walker before handing over the keys.
Where we walk Droitwich dogs
Vines Park, the Lido Park and the canal towpaths are lovely for a lead walk, and we know them well. But they get busy, with bikes, children, joggers and plenty of off-lead dogs. That’s not ideal when you’re out with a group.
So for our adventure walks we take Droitwich dogs out to the countryside instead. We use private fields near Martley and water walks with lakes and woodland around Hallow, well away from other dog walkers. Dogs can run, sniff, paddle and play without the surprises you get in a busy park. It’s a big part of our safety-first approach.

How a walk with us works
- Collection from your door between our morning slots (7am to 1pm), Monday to Friday.
- Safe travel. Every van is fully crated, with crash-tested cages bolted to the chassis.
- Small groups. No more than 4 dogs per walker on public + private land.
- Packs planned by behaviourists. We match dogs by temperament, confidence, energy and play style, so your dog walks with dogs who suit them.
- At least an hour on every walk, not counting the drive.
- Photos and videos from every walk, often with GoPro footage from your dog’s point of view.
- A quick health check when we drop your dog home. Our walkers carry first aid kits and are canine first aid trained.
Not every dog loves a group, and that’s fine. Nervous, reactive, older or recovering dogs can have 1-2-1 walks instead.
Questions to ask any dog walker in Droitwich
Whoever you choose, these are worth asking before you book:
- Are you insured and DBS checked? Ask to see the certificate. A proper business won’t mind.
- How many dogs do you walk at once? Big groups are hard to manage safely, especially off lead.
- How do the dogs travel? Loose in the back of a car isn’t safe. Look for proper crates.
- How long is the walk really? Some “hour-long” walks include the drive.
- What happens on hot days? A good walker will have a heat policy and won’t walk dogs in dangerous temperatures.
- Are you first aid trained? Things happen on walks. You want someone who knows what to do.
- Can I meet you first? Every new dog should have a meet and greet before any walks start. Ours is free.
What it costs
Our adventure pack walks are £18, 1-2-1 walks are £30 and each extra dog from the same household is £10. Collection and drop-off are included. You can see everything on our prices page, or read our guide to average dog walking rates in the area.
